Yes, it is totally free of charge.
As opposed to almost all of the dating sites there are no upgrading schemes, no golden memberships,
no charges for messages when someone wants to respond or contact a website user.
No-one from the NightDater.com will ever contact you in any way to ask about your credit card information or money.
In order to get results on any dating website:
You have to post an ad ( or ads in a couple of municipalities to get more exposure ) and... voila!
That's it!
While females do not have to post at all to get a date, guys wanting to meet a woman have no other viable choice but posting.
Then just pray that a female you're looking for notices your ad and - hopefully - responds.
Yes, I do agree, it doesn't sound fair but this is the present reality of the dating world.
In a nutshell: no posting, no results.
First of all: post and ad first.
After an ad has been posted look it up on the Internet or by clicking "My Posts" on the bar and take note of its number.
Remembering the number click on the "Picture upload" on the bar then "Upload or change a picture" and proceed to upload
the picture number 1, then picture number 2 and so on.
I decided to make it this way to discourage spammers even more.
The simple click, upload and go sequence makes it very easy for a spammer to post an ad that is very difficult to
distinguish
from a legitimate one.
While filling out a picture upload form is a slight inconvenience for an average website user it will make it for a spammer
not at all
worthwile to spend time filling out the forms hundreds of times for hundreds of pictures.
I also decided not to use captcha ( pictures divided into small squares asking you to identify a store front, bridge or
something else )
because they're sometimes confusing and so irritating, especially to people with poor eyesight.
Besides, within the time needed to solve a captcha picture the short picture upload form can be filled out anyway.
You register using your email address which is unique to every person, yourself included.
This is the only, unique identifying feature you have from the NighDater.com database's point of view. While the
database does not know your first or last name it knows that the person who has your email
address posted a particular
ad and is able to find and retrieve its details when someone clicks on it.
Without registering the database would not know whose ads belong to whom.
Many, many thanks for this wonderful background picture to James Wheeler of Pixabay.
The picture is that of the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada.
Well, this is a brand-new website and people are learning about it.
Like with everything - it takes time to develop and grow fully.
I do not post fake profiles of non-existing people ( like many well-known websites do ) to create an impression
of being a big website with many members.
All the posters on NightDater put their profiles there themselves.
If the website is going to be a success it's gonna be done the right way.
I'm just hoping more people will hear about NightDater and start posting and getting many responses.
On the other hand, being the only one or one of the few posters in a city can be of a tremendous advantage for you.
You will get most or all of the attention of the person(s) checking out the posters in your city.
Without getting into - for most people boring - details:
First of all: the way the applications look on different screens has nothing to do with the data stored in the database.
To manipulate the stored data there is a different programming language being used that has nothing to do with the way
the data is being displayed.
NightDater is a desktop application ( a program designed to be used on a traditional home or office computer or a laptop ).
Most of world's cell phones and tablets run specific Android-type applications, designed specifically for those small devices.
These two applications have to be written in 2 different programming languages ( basically one website has to be programmed
twice, for dfferent devices ).
The present version of NightDater is written in PHP, for a desktop where it looks its best.
I do not have yet an Android-language version of the website.
